I have never seen this movie but am going to rent it soon. Sadly enough i have read that horses jumping in tanks of water from 40 foot above is something that did actually happen and that this movie was made recently after it ended. Disney supported in other words the abuse of animals and injury inflicted upon both animals and humans alike. There was supposedly a horse that an owner of a diving horse took to jump into the ocean instead of a pool. This horse looked toward shore but instead went to the sea instead of land.People went out in boats to get but it just turned it head took one last look at the sea and ducked its head into the water for good rather than to go back to the abusive job it had before and the tormenting it faced

This has got to be the worst horse movie ever. Not only does it promote something cruel, it is sappy and dull. Most of it is about how Sonora is upset because she doesn’t hear from her boyfriend. Then he comes when the horse is sick and they fall in love again. There is a ton of sappy romance and most of the scenes are of Sonora and her boyfriend kissing and talking softly. The horse literally only appears in a few random scenes! The rest of it is about how Sonora’s boss dies and they must cope without him, but it is hard. When they finally go on, Sonora makes a bad jump, hitting her face in the water with her eyes open. The rest of the movie is about how Sonora holes up with her blindness and then the last few scenes have the horse again. But I would not reccomend this movie to anyone. Either the scenes are of Sonora and her boyfriend smooching and talking about their future, Sonora arguing in a tent with her boss, the star of the show leaving in a huff, and the boxy horse trailer (no horse can be seen anyway) winding through hills with “touching” music in the background. Take my word for it.

This is just another disney classic remembered from years long ago. True story of a girl’s fight to find her way in left and her battle to overcome her blindness. What can i say its like every other disney movie from the era.

I found the movie to be very loosely based on the true story…according to Sonora’s autobiography “A girl and Five Brave horses” Sonora was NOT an orphan and she did not train an arabian named lightning….that being said its a fun movie but it sure has been changed from the REAL Story.

While most runaway sleepers intend to impress me, this one is a little bizzare at first. “Wild Hearts can’t be Broken” is based on a true story of “Horse Diving”, a carnival sport that was cancelled in the late 50’s for the Animal Humanie Socety. But anyways, the year is 1933 and during the great Depression. a Young girl named Sonora Webster wants to go to Atlantic City to become a Horse Diver. Sooo, she runs away from home So, she runs away from home and becomes a stable cleaner at a carnival. She ends up following a early “Bufflo Bill”-type owner of the fair, named Dr. Carver. Then entering the story line is the owners son, Al, whom has a crush on Sonora, even when he’s 13 years older than she is. He trains her to become a horse diver, in which she does. But as she trains, Al and his father fight about how their differences are keeping them apart. As they set their sites on Atlantic City, things go from bad to worse. First, Dr. Carver suffers from a fatal heart attack, leaving his son to take over with sadness the whole way, mentioning that he never said “I love you, dad” or anything. Next, Sororna is perminately Blind after a tragic accident with the horse. But as tragity tends to hover over them, they try to overcome it. The rest you find out for yourself……
