I disagree strongly. I’m sure you’ve heard before the tragectory of your conventional topspin shots: it is hit up and the spin brings it down. That is how you get the ball over the net: over the net, then onto the court. When you’re advanced enough to hit a windshield wiper forehand, you can achieve more spin potential. If you’re talking about mishitting the ball, then obviously you’re not good enough to hit a windshield wiper forehand yet. I’m no master of this shot myself, so I stay classic.
