2007 Micronesia Mall Holiday Lights Experience

The most exciting Christmas tree in the world is in center court of Micronesia Mall in Guam, USA. 2007 was the second year that this 700000 square foot mall has featured this unique entertainment nightly until Christmas. The 35 foot tall tree is decorated with forty thousand mini-lights, strobes, globes all controlled by a personal computer. Around the giant Christmas tree is a supertrain that parents and their children can ride in together. Magical lights, holiday music, falling snow, a Christmas train-ride and Santa Claus, that’s what children dream about this time of year in Guam and throughout the world. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. Ho, ho, ho.

Here’s a vid of my trip to Palau, Micronesia on board a Continental Airlines flight. This was during the SARS outbreak in 2003 that spread panic throughout Southeast Asia, which led to the sudden decline of air travel in the region. Obviously, I was undeterred! It’s an old vid, taken with a video camcorder and was digitally converted to WMV. There’s a delay in the sounds so just bear with it.
